Carl, <<I'm looking at puts/shorts on LLTC, MXIM, and VTSS tomorrow
AM, basically semi high-flyers. Any comments anyone?>>
.
I assume that you are aware that MXIM just released Q1 earnings pretty much refuting the Barron's short sellers' pitch. And that the analog IC sector revenues are estimated to be up 39% in 1997, far outpacing uP's and memory, admittedly against depressed numbers. While you can undoubtedly profit from short side market induced fluctuations from high valuation levels, can't you find stocks with weak business models as well as valuation vulnerabilities?

BTW, your posts on other threads contain a lot of good sense and information.

Regards, Don

Bilow,

It is interesting to observe on the DELL, INTC, and CPQ threads all the folks that thought these stocks could never fall. I thought it would happen a long time ago. I have been around the PC business for a long time and have been amazed at the people buying DELL over the last year. I have listened to people who know nothing about technology or stock valuation go on and on about their DELL gains and blindly buy more and more just because it was going up. Well, I guess its time for a dose of reality.
