Dave, I'm sure Ford just looked at the Bush recession and what it had done to municipalities, realized that they would be fixing their old Crown Vics, not buying new ones, and decided it was a perfect time to get out of a very thinly rewarding business.

Any moron should be able to figure it out.

That is not a huge number of vehicles, and margins on sales to public agencies are notoriously slim, but analysts say it is still a profitable business for Ford.

Exactly...margins are always slim to service agencies...they drive a hard VPA...never miss a chance to bash labor, eh?

So, they'll lose market share to the Japanese. Probably to the Koreans, too.
