Funny......the problems with Armorgroup first came up under C. Rice's watch in 2007. You know Condi....the most brilliant woman this side of Saturn. In any case, State became aware of the problems with Armorgroup, hired by the Bush administration, in summer of 2007. They got their hands slapped. Then in April of 2008, the problems had not gone away and again were brought to the attention of State. This time Armorgroup's hands were slapped harder. In spite of all this hand slapping and ongoing complaints, State renewed their contract a couple of months later. The kind of bizarre behavior going on with this security firm plus their rather lackadaisical approach to security put the embassy staff and all Americans in Afghanistan in danger. It seriously damaged the American image in Kabul. That is another example of the Bush legacy.
