I'm talking of the fighting in Afghanistan. At any rate many pointed out from the first day we launched an offensive there that you can not defeat and control Afghanistan. Can't be done. It's never been done in all of history. There is no strong central government to defeat. You would have to take the place tribe by tribe and negotiate agreements as you went. Can't be done. Then we compound that with our insane war on drugs and drive the growers directly to the Taliban. Shit we could buy all their stuff and burn it for less then we spend trying to stomp it out and we wouldn't be making enemies of half the country at the same time. I don't blame the One for this but getting more involved is insane. His ROE are insane. Either kill them all and let Allah sort them out or just get the hell out IMO.
