skeeter--

at $6 EPS estimates, it will be hard to keep a straight face when i buy<G>.

i understand what your saying, but things were a little better when MU was at 16. i honestly thought they might make 2.50 or more per share. now, i know you are rolling on the floor right now so let me explain.

last summer MU was implementing their current design rules. they had pretty much just recieved the equipment. there was ENORMOUS potential for cost reductions. i think they were (at that time)making things using geometries of around .6 mu. PLUS, you had them converting the fabs to 8" wafers, another thing to drive costs down. of course we never counted on the 16Mb generation being to cut throat<G>. at any rate, i was thinking around 38 for the top, with a p/e in the low to mid 20s, so it makes a little more sense. for most of the year i was right, but of course i missed that HUGE run up 20 points. oh well.

i agree that there is a very real chance that MU will not be around for the next run up. however, i think in reality they will be. at least i hope so.

i really hate monty ruining my fun. i want MU back above 30!!!

good luck to all,
trey
