Nice article, thanks. People need primary care docs, and they can't find any. How come? Aren't we living in an economy where supply and demand generally are related? Answer - NO, there is no such thing when it comes to medicine. Prices are fixed by bureaucrats. Predictably, dislocations and discontent are the norm.

Try setting by committee the price of Pizza - and make it the law that pizza men must comply with those prices. Before long, people will travel abroad to have a slice or two. We'd have Pizza Tourism.
