I don't expect a "good accounting" either, but I think Chrysler and GM have a good chance to survive in a more efficient form and provide a nice return to the tax payers.

The banks would have been "down the tubes" without the bailouts and we've already gotten a lot of money back from them.

The whole POINT of the bailouts was to not let the economy just get FLUSHED..

I think it may have achieved that. You're like the guy that got knocked off the boat in high seas and complains that you lost a lot of your luggage and got wet but doesn't give ANY appreciation for the fact that they didn't let you drown.
