"I'm getting this sick feeling in my stomach every time I read about it."

Me too. I really wish Obama would just get the hell out of there, leave as many local "spotters" as necessary, and blow up Taliban and AQ targets with Predator drones controlled from the US.

I've never bought the Bushie argument that we need to save Afghanistan/Iraq to keep AQ from plotting from there. They can plot from any of half a dozen failed states - or Pakistan, like they do now. I just don't get what we're trying to DO there.

I hope voters remember just how HARD it's been to get out of these stupid, pointless, dumbass Bush wars, the NEXT TIME someone starts fear mongering. Afghanistan had a point at one time, GET bin Laden - but that time has LONG passed.

I'm SURE if a vote was taken, the popular majority would be for pulling out of ALL foreign wars, immediately.

RW, > So what do you think of Afghanistan? Not much heard from the right on that.

As tough as Iraq was to "nation-build," I think Afghanistan is even tougher.

I would support a shift in focus to get Bin Laden, then get out. The problem is that I don't want to know if we're already doing that, because if I do, that means Bin Laden knows as well. That means he'll just retreat back into his hiding place in that "no man's land" between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Hence that's where trust in Obama is really important. You don't hear much from the right on Afghanistan because few want to admit that.

So what do you think of Afghanistan? Not much heard from the right on that.

I'm getting this sick feeling in my stomach every time I read about it. My support is wavering. It's worth it all if we get bin Laden... we just have to get bin Laden. That's really all we ever needed to do... get the perps. We'll never remake the ME. People have been trying that for centuries.

Frankly, I think bin Laden is dead.
