You may not be a "power elite", but if you wish to retain your enthusiasm have plenty of physical cash ready for a [bank] holiday and avoid keeping your yieldless metals in that high-security depository newly built at the Freedom Rock/Money Rock airport... The Chinese power elite may well have built that shiny, new vault with an ulterior motive... Real estate should be okay longer term, but it is very illiquid and may likely turn out to be yieldless during an extended holiday... just trying to noodle this endgame through my head, and good luck, we will probably need it...
