Actually the implicit putdown of poor folks by Maslow's heirarchy has been there all along, just not stressed. But when you wanted to put down the masses of third worlders for converting to a faith you despise .... there it was for you.

"Belittle" is YOUR word... I said and nothing of the sort.

Responding to reports of third world conversions to Christianity by referring to their being ignorant people driven by animalistic drives, mentioning cannibalism, is certainly belittling. I know, you think they can't help it the poor benighted savages. So you're not belittling them, just accurately describing their state.

My statement that the Catholic Church gain conversions by(missionaries, look them up) feeding starving people, give them education, and help them with basic skills IS NOT PERJORATIVE in the least. They are doing FANTASIC HUMANITARIAN WORK! YOU MADE UP THE PERJORATIVE PART! YOU (apparently) THINK IT's BELITTLING TO NEED HELP, TO BE STARVING OR LIVE IN SQUALLOR, not me.

One, its not the Catholic church that is converting people by the millions, the Catholic church is probably losing ground in the world as a whole. And your continued assertion that conversions are made only because some western institution is giving starving people food is both wrong and insulting.

Thats not what or who is driving the growth of Christianity in the third world.
