I agree with taking medicare out of the greedy government fingers.

I don't know what they pay for supplemental medicare but if it is several hundred per month, the funds taken by the government plus the supplemental payments should be able to provide adequate private insurance coverage.

I know for a fact that hospitals and doctors may not get paid as much by medicare for individual services but they make it up with volume. By volume I don't mean volume of patients by volume of billed services. Every doctor and their brothers line up for consultaions and tests, procedures etc til the patient is home or dead.
