one thing that i have learned in the last downturn. the brilliant people are not immune from making stupid moves in the market. I tend to listen to all now, no matter what they tell you and decide what to do after considering all views. there is a reason why i pay all that money to both sy and bob. it is only worth it if their call is right on and by the way you have to act on it too. it is my view that bob is more of a historian when it comes to the market and he can follow how the market responds to various shocks. since people are the same now as they were back in the 70's and 30's, he is comparing how the market responds. I think that all those billions that was taken out and put into money market--- are slowly coming back into the market and this buy-in will confound everyone once again.
