No, Jim. Hard as it is to believe, I just think a lot of (mainly southern) Americans just don't want a black president telling their kids about government, to work hard in school, etc. They may be SAYING they smell a rat, but, THEY are the rat.


Except that every person who has spoken about this has said, in effect, "Gosh, we think it is great he wants to speak to children, but we don't want a message of indoctrination (the lesson plan) to go along with it. I can't find one R who has condemned Obama speaking to the schools.

Even the #2 target of liberal hatred (Gingrich) said it is a great thing for him to do as long as he doesn't politicize it.
