willingness to surround himself with people who are truly scumbags.

The old adage: "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are."

...how vicious and cruel the attacks were against Sarah Palin, not by one talk show host, but by every talk show host out there and every news channel out there.

Who can forget Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson interviews? And Letterman.

I think a backlash against the MSM has begun to take force in earnest. As newspapers are becoming more irrelevant, so is the evening news because it is so lacking in real information. Charlie Gibson is history and his demise started with the Sarah Palin interview. Diane Sawyer is a pretty lady with the HD correction lenses but lacks the authority to be "trusted". Just an extension of the View now.

The evening news used to be an hour. Now it's a half hour, while all the cable channels are an hour. That they were all scooped by cable and the Internet will not be missed by the advertisers, who really control their importance.

The Fox model is focused on commentators, not talking heads reading the news. When the talking heads can't deliver what they're supposed to, people will go elsewhere to find out what's happening. Look at the ratings.
