Cass Sunstein
I've got to be honest, unless he is outright lying, he doesn't seem as nuts as presented. I don't necessarily agree with everything he says, but he doesn't seem like he's in the same class as Van Jones. He definitely presents anthropogenic global warming as a fact, but the approach that he talks about in Nudge is much less potentially damaging than Cap & Trade.

Unlike Jones, Sunstein clarifies his views on banning hunting and animal rights.

His views on taxes and personal property are pretty absurd. Government protection of property rights is just an extension of the natural tendency of humans to protect property that they have developed. It falls into the category of "we hold these truths to be self evident" that if I build a log cabin in the wilderness and somebody tries to take or damage that log cabin, I'm going to do my best to stop them with whatever means necessary. Governments validate this response, they don't poof it into existence. For a constitutional expert he sure did miss the boat on the philosophies that this country was founded on.

i haven't found anything in his own words that talks about the 1st amendment, but that might be a sticky point eventually.

on the surface I'd still have to say that Cass Sunstein still ain't no Van Jones, or John Holdren or Mark Lloyd.

Caveat - I have not read "Nudge" so he might have some more nutty things in there than he suggests in the video linked above.

I know. Obama will say he's just another guy from the neighborhood.
