Like I said, the message is good. And easy. And PR.

Takes away from the more pressing issues.

All Presidents do this from time to time to convey the warm and fuzzies. But not necessarily to kids though.

No other presdient has tried to politicize it.

No other president has called for students to be asked, "How does president ______ inspire you?"

He doesn't inspire me and if I had school aged kids I would hope he doesn't inspire them.
