There is something to Geo Will's remarks on Sunday -- that these guys -- the President, the Dept of Education, or anyone else in DC - should not be trying to "educate" our kids. It isn't their role, most Americans don't want it, and it is being forced on parents whether or not they like it. It just isn't any of DC's business. That said, I really don't care other than that as long as they aren't trying to indoctrinate kids which some perceived the first lesson plan as doing.
