But now that responsibility is moving to Obama - how much of this Bush mistake should he take on? Its a debate America needs to have and it is not black and white. I'm not yet precisely clear what the mission is: (a) keep Pakistan out of the hands of Al Qaeda types; (b) keep Afghanistan from becoming a failed state and thus a home for Al Qaeda types; (c) providing relief and infrastructure assistance of Afghanistan; and/or (d) creating some sort of democracy. Someone needs to articulate this more clearly.
