and i hate harleys

Careful - Smithee rides.

It's not age that would prevent me from moving but a large family and I wouldn't want to give up watching my grandkids grow just to live in another country.

I spent a good portion of my career traveling and have already been to the places I would choose to visit now. I'm pretty burned out when it comes to travel - particularly the difference in traveling now as compared to the way I used to travel.

i have some ideas about that, but that's another subject. learning a language makes it more appealing, i have had serious considerations about spending a year in italy, learning the language and maybe some cooking as well....

I really enjoyed my time in Italy. Tuscany is the hot spot, Umbria a bit lesser known and just as nice. Plus, easy striking distance to Roma in case you want to soak up some big city ambiance.

ps - I was a hippie and I kinda have a soft spot for Harleys, though I myself ride a riceburner.
