We'll "realize" them if we get MORE back than we PUT in. Non responsive. You and I will never feel the goodness of those profits. I don't think I ever said that I supported the stimulus bill. I DID say that a stimulus was going to be coming regardless of who won the last election. Bush did the first stimulus by justing sending out $160 billion in checks to everybody. Is the WHOLE stimulus a "joke" or are there good parts and bad parts or what A joke? if it is, it isn't a very funny one. Bush's stimulus checks were an absolute joke. They didn't stimulate anything. You can't take money from people, put it through a system where you have to pay a bunch more people (the government) and then give it back to the people and expect to have a net positive result. You may see a brief spike in the economy but the net effect is a drain on the economy. A more direct response to your question is that government stimulus plans are a waste of money and cause more damage than good. ALL these Senators and Congressmen have a GAZILLION staffers and they can get as many more as they want....so if ANY of them say they got "blindsided" by legislation then I think they're either incompetent or lying. Lots of incompetent and lying congresscrims on both side of the aisle then....
