Yes, it's ridiculous that they make it illegal to talk on a cellphone while driving but don't ban ogling women. Any fool can walk and chew gum, or drive and talk, but even walking and ogling is dangerous - crashing into street poles and other sidewalk impediments is normal.

<The research shows men who spend even a few minutes in the company of an attractive woman perform less well in tests designed to measure brain function than those who chat to someone they do not find attractive. >

Some of us, [engineers of course], can drive, talk on cellphones, ogle women, tune the radio and eat breakfast simultaneously. Others get tangled up just driving and using a cellphone. They know it's dangerous for them, so think it must be dangerous for everybody.

There are perfectly good laws to cover all distractions - drivers must drive with due care and attention. That covers everything. There is no need for special laws on ogling women, chewing gum while driving, tuning the radio, checking makeup, reading a map, fondling a female, whacking the kids in the back seat etc etc etc etc....

That's a great photo of Helen Clark and King George II. You can see how NZ was traumatized after 9 years of that glowering visage getting into OPM and banning everything they didn't make compulsory.
