From his wife, Barbara Linnane Ryan Yup, Barbara is my sister. She was here Sat for dinner. Charlie and I handled her husband Bobby's funeral together back then and wondered why him and not us! Now I get to attend Charlie's event. Charlie was a US Marine Officer, a highly decorated combat hero and even more than that. At the darkest moment of my life in 1972, Charlie sensed it and arranged to be there. I'll never forget that. He always reached out to every family member and each of us can learn from his example. But if you are waiting to be reached out to...you will miss Charlie's point.
