Remember all the arguing over 'mandate, yes!' 'mandate, no!' in the Dem primaries? Baucus just said, 'mandate, yes!' and put a big fat price tag on it. That should encourage that half of Dems who were in the 'mandate, no!' camp. Somebody (I forget who) compared Obama to a football coach who decided to sit on the bench and invite his team to call the plays themselves. It fits.
