>>>and GE capital only has about $500 Billion in debt:<<<

Can't they morph into a commercial bank - (like GS?) - and get under the TARP???

Better listen to that video on GE at the related Yahoo Finance site. The analyst, Ortel, used the unspeakable phrase...."failed auction." He was referring to US Treasury auctions. I think he said... 'We are not too far away from a failed auction.' He went on to suggested that when (only maybe if) that happens, interest rates will rise and GE will get crushed.

AWESOME

I have been short GE and long TBT for quite some time, and have frankly - been getting crushed. My oily stocks have kept me net in the black.

But GE has the wildcard. Immelt in the Whitehouse!

Meanwhile, GE now over 15.

and GE capital only has about $500 Billion in debt:

Sounds like it's time for $50 Billion in bonuses for the executives who brought about this fine situation!
