We only have to watch all the pizza commercials on TV to understand where American health and nutrition are going. Each has big pizzas with extra cheese in the crust, pasta dishes, huge sweet soft drinks PLUS new desserts - brownies, chocolate-filled chocolate cakes and now a new cinnamon bun.

So a healthy dinner for the family is pizza carbs, Pepsi carbs, spaghetti carbs plus sugar and cake carbs at the end.

And people wonder why they get diabetes left and right. Duh. I guess they could go to McDonalds instead, huh?

why not comestibles that have ZERO positive contributions in healthy nutrition? I don't see the concern.

Perhaps some people dont like have the government deciding what they should and should not eat? The nanny state on the left is no better than the nanny state on the right.

Before anybody jumps on me about the current farm subsidy system, I am already on record saying that is the first thing I would dismantle if I had the power. The subsidies are ludicrous, but balancing them out with taxes on stuff you dont like isnt any better. If that is the bar, there are any number of things that you could ban or tax to death.
