Those moral consequences end up costing society money....so the same cost benefit analysis could be used to justify taxes on behaviors that are costing the rest of us money. Of course, the Democrats wont do that, but it doesnt take any imagination to see the Republicans using similar arguments.

A study came out just recently about actual obesity caused by soft drinks.

I would guess that inactivity would be linked to any number of health problem as well. A tax on television watching would be fairly easy to justify.
