If tax hikes led to economic prosperity, then Obama and the Democrats should be raising taxes now. They can't even pass what I consider to be inevitable, i.e. universal health care, without pissing off a lot of people. How are they going to argue for higher taxes to a skeptical public? Just wait, ten. They're going to hit us with a big one when the Bush cuts expire. I'm just waiting to see how they explain it away. "Oh, we said WEEEE wouldn't increase the taxes on those making under 250K. WEEEE didn't do this! It was George Bush. WE INHERITED THE BUSH TAX CUTS THAT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY END IN 2010!" You wait. They'll be blaming it on Bush.

No one stated that tax hikes lead to economic prosperity. You are lying. Again.
