If tax hikes led to economic prosperity, then Obama and the Democrats should be raising taxes now.

They can't even pass what I consider to be inevitable, i.e. universal health care, without pissing off a lot of people. How are they going to argue for higher taxes to a skeptical public?

Just wait, ten.

They're going to hit us with a big one when the Bush cuts expire.

I'm just waiting to see how they explain it away. "Oh, we said WEEEE wouldn't increase the taxes on those making under 250K. WEEEE didn't do this! It was George Bush. WE INHERITED THE BUSH TAX CUTS THAT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY END IN 2010!"

You wait. They'll be blaming it on Bush.

Umm, let's see. I suppose this is mainly your old favorite, a straw man argument. But it also has the earmarks of a false dichotomy. It never fails, you can dredge up an intellectually dishonest argument at the drop of a hat.

No one stated that tax hikes lead to economic prosperity. You are lying.

Again.

Don't let the nutjobs at the town halls fool you. The only people they are pissing off are a minority.....a loud minority that thinks they are still in charge. They are not. The polls still favor reform and the public option.
