Sure, but it isn't the same level of involvement. Its much more indirect, esp. when your talking about government support. The government supports the ideology and religious teachings, but attacking Saudi because of that would be like if we bombed Venezuela in the aftermath of an attack by socialist terrorists because Chavez supports socialism. Some of the private support does go to Al Qaeda and the Taliban (mostly through Islamic charity organizations, some of which actually function as charities with much of their income, others of which are apparently closer to straight front organizations, not all the contributors would know where their money is going but certainly some of it is very deliberate support for the organizations we are fighting), but then would we invade France because some French socialist fund a socialist terror organization?

The Afghanistan connection was stronger and more direct than the Saudi one.
