In 1980 it was 49%, in 1982 it went down to 44%, in 83 40%, in 84 38%; then it changed to 35% in 87, and 28% in 88. Pick an income and it will go down though Reagan's term. I posted the actual rates, you are too stupid to look it up! Besides, you are still dancing around the issue of SSI, state and local taxes. All of which went up. Substantially.
