Blackmont Capital analyst Richard Gray called Barrick's decision a “monumental” move that will improve the “marketability and optics of the world's largest gold producer.”

Ho hum, more touting. But does it improve the value of the company?

(To add one point; if it was so reckless that it did not spread the contracts delivery dates to match production schedules then a default in deliveries would have been possible).
