>>why paul volker lent his name to all this, is one strange happening i would like to grip. that, is an enigma. and why has he not walked away either. that cog in this wheel is one fascinating out liar/lyer.<<

I'll come back to that, but first ...

Take 1 goddamn minute out of the business to watch the video ... you owe it to Uncle Walt, not to mention yourself. <g>

As for Obama, I can't find one false note in either that speech or the one last night ... as best I can see, he seems to understand the corporate rule/control of dumbfuckistan quite clearly, and is trying to nudge things in another direction, ever so gently ...

Unfortunately, he's got no Cronkite covering his back (he's got Moyers, but no one listens to him any more), and he's probably read Winter Kills to boot.* <g/ng>

I'm guessing Volker's still with him because he too sees this as the last slim chance to save the republic from corporate 'persons', if only the black man given the worst job in America can possibly pull off miracles ... otherwise there's no chance at all.

*The basic plot is that the young liberal president is working against the interests of the owners of America, promoting peace and civil rights and stuff, so he's got to be offed ... duty/noblesse oblige says it should fall to his father, a Joseph P. Kennedy lookalike ...
