next few years expect good growt for the company and we are ready for it

few cos willing to purchase
creating dilemma for industry
efficiency of current tools excellent
transition will take several yrs
nobody wants to be 1st 300mm buyer or last 200mm buyer

CFO:
weve shipped about 120 DUV step and scan tools
75% of tools shipped last Q .25mu
we don't know about problems of our competitors
we've not had problems with laser source
industry testing CYMI's integrity of manufacture

re Tinsley acquisition:
all sys go, cleared by FTC
Tinsley shareholders meet 11/25 or 11/26 [for vote]
SVG can use their optic production help
Tinsley is aspheric lens house
aspheric will become more impt
looking to have Tinsley produce spherical lenses also

looking to expand ttl bandwith with computer deterministic and metrology

what is Thermco problem?:
currency $/yen problem : competition is in Japan
predatory pricing by Japanese (also issue in Track)
no issues in manufacturing
improvement in Thermco manufacturing efficiencies
customers took a pause
product wise, we measure up well to competition

ASP 6.5 M?
too high
spares and service
ASP 4M-7M depending on Micrascan II or III

new Korean customer:
DRAM not logic
shrinking 64, and then to 256
thinks order is for 1 fab
depending on success, may expand to other fabs

200APS:
we will see some bumps along the way, but think majority behind us

stock price:
affected by options exercises
about 1.5M shares will be issued for Tinsley

EUV program w Nikon:
we're very interested in participating w/ Intel
we're in negotiations w/ INTC on this so not appropriate to comment

blended avg selling price:
depends on area of world
IIIs high 5M to low 6M

sustainability of this level of GM:
improvement in Track helped this Q
lith improved
blended at 40% this yr
expect improvement in GM 2Half next yr (tho not dramatic)

Papken on Asia:

too early to say how Asia turmoil might affect biz
Japan still recovering from real estate bust
rest of asia huge cash surpluses
need to spend to maintain momentum
korea and taiwan have lots of gov supt to maintain momentum

dont know how it will go but leading countries Kor and Taiwan will probably maintain their momentum
