Let's call this OBAMA Math.
And these guys want to run Health care.
Save me, Lord. Please

Did anyone run the numbers??

A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 800 gallons a year of gasoline.

A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 480 gallons a year.

So, the average "Cash for Clunkers " transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.

They claim 700,000 vehicles ? so that's 224 million gallons / year.

That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.

5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day's US consumption.

And, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million dollars at $70/bbl.

So, we all contributed to spending $3 billion to save $350 million.

How good a deal was that ???

They'll probably do a great job with health care though!!

I hope so...when I look at clips of people walking around rallies with guns, legally...when I listen to radio and hear the kind of vitriol spoken by the right 24/7, when i see a senator or congressman stand up before his folks and trash the truth in the most shameful way...it's depressing that people can abide by and even praise that kind of destructive garbage.

I feel the same way. But the inodes of the country will be discredited. They will look like the unpatriotic scum that they are.

Rs are very desperate people these days. I used to be a lifeguard when I was in college. When someone is drowning, they become totally irrational and will push their mother under water in an effort to get air. That's the kind of behavior we are seeing with the Rs. Its not pretty at all.
