Have been a lurker on this thread, but had to say something when I read your most insightful post. This is not 1929, nor is it 1987. This is the beginning of an electronic age that shall rival the Industrial Revolution. Baby boomers are moving from a nation of consumers to a nation of savers. It ain't all bad. Short term? I'll leave that to the TA guys <g>. If you seriously want to increase wealth, listen to people like Judy and 'doing DD' also helps, but it's no panacea. Long a few low pe small to mid caps, mostly cash. Fred
