You mean when bankruptcy occurs they tear down all the factories and dealerships and destroy the company? No, they normally reorganize, close the weak facilities, spin off the economically viable into a successor corporation .... which is whats going to have to happen with GM anyway. So what does anyone gain by getting the government involved in financing GM and preventing it from going bankrupt? Well, the UAW benefits - anyone else?
