"We are now a nation of color. White folks better get used to it." Not only that, the "coloreds", as Dave refers to them, are outbreeding us white folk like crazy and constantly streaming in. We're only going to get more and more "colored". If'n de (R) gunna gwine to pander to de white folk, de ain GOT no fu-tcher. I can see a time, in my lifetime, when it will be hard to get an old white man elected!

I never knew this until now but Obama got only 43% of the white vote last November. The fact that he won the overall election so handily suggests that the turnout by people of color was high for Obama, and that... We are now a nation of color. White folks better get used to it. Apparently, the Rs haven't gotten the memo yet. Having said that......getting 43% of whites to vote for a black president probably is a huge milestone but still.....given his qualifications and capabilities, you would have thought he would do better. And it makes defending him more problematical because whites don't have any compunction about opening their fat traps and making a spectacle of themselves; to whit, the town hall meetings this past summer. However, people of color with only few exceptions have learned to keep their mouths shut and that's a hard habit to break. I guess then the 43% of whites who voted for him will have to keep kicking some white ass. I don't mind.....its fun! ;-)
