I think it's more than that.

They simply want all money flowing to the public coffers and people unable to survive without government assistance. Nationalizing health care is just one way of achieving control.

Of course. Any group that supports abortion, and early death for elders, could really care less about individual health care....

In other words they are far more concerned with egalitarianism they they are with a good result for the most people.
