Brian,

Its all according to the price of the calls if they are worth it. Nov. doesn't give you alot of time to make the moola. Its usually sounder advice to buy a later strike date. They expire the third week of the month. Thursday or a Friday.

As to the split of CPQ shares, they usually don't wait too long after the split is approved. Guesswork would be in January?
