CNN began announcing Obama's Joint Session speech on health care, and the eight year-old exclaimed, "Another speech?! Didn't he just give one?" Similar story - my daughter (3rd grade) was at school when she was told that her class would see Obama speak. She said everybody was very excited and was looking forward to the event. Then when the time arrived she said that the entire class was disappointed because they didn't get to see the President speak, instead they just saw him on TV. She said, "he's on TV all the time, that was nothing special."
