Just as fingerprints are unique so is every body and so is every mind. Likewise, the contents of every mind--the ideas, the values, the ethics--all are unique and singular.

Society (by definition) requires that people coexist and share resources and trade values. Therefore, all these myriad varieties of seeing and believing and valuing must be stitched (through rules and laws and a social ethic) into a uniform tapestry in which we may act and play out our daily lives. It is well understood by anyone with half a brain. Thousands of books have been written exploring how civilization and cooperation and community standards and values developed naturally as a benefit to both the individual and the group. Pull your head out of Superstition Swamp for a few seconds, breathe some air, and look around...
