If you mean being a feminist such as Gloria Steinem, Jane Fonda, Bella Abzug, the answer is 100% no.

I believe firmly that a woman's first place is with her new born children----to raise and nurture them and not turn them over to the Nanny Government as was being advocated by the feminist-----I do not believe in abortion which has been a longtime part of the feminist agenda-----I was one of 8 women who stood and voted against the AAUW's resolution to support abortion in Hawaii in the late 1960's about the time that Obama entered Punahou.

I believe in equality that begins before and at birth.

I believe in equality that is not mandated by the government. I have never met anyone that I could not meet and talk with on an equal basis----poor, rich, old, young----that's what equality is about.

Likewise, for the record, I opposed and am opposed to the so-called Equal Rights Amendment that Ted Kennedy worked to pass by changing the rules to allow only a simple majority of the states to ratify the Constitution to include that amendment in the Constitution. The Feminist supported Kennedy on this.
The states did not ratify!

The Feminist of the 1960's to the 1990's did not and do not share my values.

Enough said.
