As far as I know, the ONLY spending that Obama has done so far is the STIMULUS.

And extending bailouts, plus expansion of currently existing programs (if your going to blame Bush for doubling the debt, then realize most of that was from already scheduled increases in entitlements, if Bush gets blamed for that, and I to an extent I think he should, then Obama should also, to an extent, get blamed for such increases)

SO, I DON'T really understand where this MASSIVE increase in government spending is coming from.

My comment about massive increases comes from the fact that we are getting massive increases. The 2009 budget Bush submitted already contained large increases ($200bil more than 2008, over a trillion total increase during Bush's time in office), then Obama added additional spending in 2001, and now he's submitted a $3.6 trillion dollar budget, and extra $500bil in spending in just one year, and he's talking about new types of spending and also things like cap and trade. So Obama is following in, and even accelerating Bush's spend like crazy habits.

If we had just increased the budget in line with inflation and the population increase from 2002, then the 2010 budget's proposed spending would be over a trillion dollars less.
