So you would be ok with All retired GM workers moving into your group.

What would your group insurance provider do?

Huh? How might that happen? Groups are formed voluntarily, at least while we still have a private market. Group membership has qualifications. Typically the employees of a company comprise a group. Sometimes professional associations or other communities. If my employer chose to hire all those retired GM workers, then and only then would they be part of my group. Otherwise, they wouldn't. If the average age of my group went up based on the inclusion of the new employees, then presumably the next rate increase would be more than it would otherwise have been. But those individuals would pay the same rate as anyone else.
