The sign of absolute poverty is this: 1) You no longer act as a human being. 2) You cultivated no habits of human beings- 3) You turn your back and someone take anything that is not nailed down. This explains: Poor does not mean, below middle class. Poor means absolute poveryt in 1,2,3 above. Religion was the way to keep poor people as humans Humans have been poor for ages. They dealt with the state of poverty by giving them commandments that they had to follow out of fear of other world punishment.
