Obama's family wasn't from Nairobi. They were from a small village 200 or so miles west of nairobi. If Grandma and Grandpa Obama were at the birth, my guess is that it had to be near where they lived (and where Granny Sarah currently lives)....Nyang’oma Kogelo.

If she was in Kenya when she gave birth to Barack, I doubt that her Mother was with her. That is why I referenced Barack Sr.'s parents.

I am fully aware that nairobi had modern facilities in 1961. That's why I indicated that they would have made the 200 mile drive to nairobi to make the call.
