no marriage certificate for Stanley and Obama, Sr., no divorce papers, this would make Obama a bastard son even if he was born in Hawaii. Really? That's not what I read. Said they were married in 1961 on Maui when she was three months pregnant. Turns out that Barack Sr was already married in Kenya though and had lied to Stanley Ann and said he was divorced. So there is some question to the legitimacy of the marriage, but they did go through the process such that she felt the need to file for divorce a couple of years later (filed in Hawaii while she was living in Washington state).
