In July I flew from London to Frankfurt, and I saw a similar scene out of the window about 3/4 of the way across the channel.

Ghost fleet: growth is now endogenous, goods stay where they are produced consumed by the locals.

Thus this tonnage is not going to be needed. The lower prices are good for exporters who now get cheap carriers for a song.
