Me neither.

I added this morning at 31 5/8. I been following several threads with little to add, but decided now is as good a time as any.

I am in the industry and here is what I know for fact:
Compaq uses Quantum hard drives and also uses the Quantum DLT drives in their fileservers (Currently 7 models of DLT backups offered on Compaq Servers.)

Major tape storage manufacturers have adopted the Quantum DLT (ADIC, Exabyte)

As a computer reseller, we tend to look at the inventories of product available through the major distributors (Ingram Micro in this case, www.ingrammicro.com 12billion 96 sales, Worlds Largest Computer Product Distributor) to check the demand for a product. I did a quick check this morning and several of the popular drives I looked at (2.1gig Fireball Ultra ATA, 4.5 Ultra-wide SCSI, and 9.1 Ultra-wide SCSI) are in a back order status. The 2.1gig has been in this status for weeks. (I haven't paid attention to all of them, so won't comment on all of them.) Draw your own conclusions, I see demand for the products.
