I'm sure the netbook makers are making some money. But Apple probably makes more by selling one MacBook or MacBook Pro than they make selling three or four netbooks.

Well just had two friends, both with kids, scoot right past the MacBooks and go straight to NetBooks. Which they promptly asked me to hackintosh. That's four unit sales they could've had.

Apple obviously feels it isn't worth satisfying these folks's computer needs - and that's cool, certainly a plausibly-smart thing to do - but IMO it is inarguable Apple is blowing off a lot of potential customers.
