bob, it would help if for the last 20 years we didn't have the president and the vice president of the U.S. with their conflict of interests. when you have your leaders in the oil industry, they are going to tell you that we need to get off our addiction to oil, while profiting on our dependency. in truth they want us to use as much oil and gasoline as possible so they can profit. furthermore cheney moved his operation to dubai as he objected to paying u.s. taxes. i have 2 vehicles, a hybrid honda 02 and 06 insight. the stick shift gets over 70mpg and the automatic gets at least 60mpg. on some days i get 99-100mpg w the stick using hypermiling techniques. current vehicles brag getting 40-45 mpg. so go figure! my other vehicles get not bad mileage 25 - 45 mpg. although i am no fan of obama been lying, at least he is making headway for possible energy alternatives. additionally, on a side note, everyday i see a massive number of trucks with oil equipment, i believe they are motors and pumping equipment for oil lines. ,..., and i am talking about a massive amount of trucks. every single day now for over a month. i am seeing over 20-30 every single day so i cannot imagine how many are actually heading north. on a single truck there is this massive pump, looks like a little submarine, and then this massive propeller type pump on an accompanying truck. each truck has a vehicle in front and behind w flashing yellow lights. if i understood the implication of this i would be trading on it, but i do not. n40
